I have no words.  The tragedy in at the Boston Marathon today has left me speechless.  All I can do is pray.  Pray for the victims.  Pray for their families.  Pray for the first responders.  Pray for Boston.  Pray for the country as a whole.

Today is a reminder that no matter how you live your life, no matter how healthy your lifestyle is or isn’t, you never know what’s around the next corner.  It’s a reminder to say “I love you” to those that you love.  To hug your kids a bit closer for a bit longer.  To live every day to the fullest.

Today, let’s not point fingers at the Republicans or the Democrats.  Let’s just come together as one nation and support each other.  No matter our religious beliefs, our national origin, the color of our skin…we are all Americans and we must support each other.

I’ll leave you with a comment one of my Facebook friends posted today that hits the nail on the head:  “Number of people who ran TOWARDS the blasts in Boston to help the injured is the clearest of signals that terrorists will never, ever win.”

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is 24 and living at home while working. He just finished trade school for media arts and is looking for a job that will be a career so he can get out on his own. In the meantime he's got a steady job with benefits. Our youngest, Griffin, is 20 and in the Army. He just got married so I have also gained a daughter. Unfortunately, he is stationed in Washington so they're across the country from us. I was lucky enough to have the option of leaving the work force a few years ago, but recently went back part-time to learn a new trade working at a small family owned coffee shop.
