This is a novella length story that is a really quick read.  Therefore the insta-love is even more insta than most.  From what I can tell this is a true standalone book, so if you get upset by characters falling in love overnight this is not the book for you.  On the other hand, if you like a caring tough guy who is good with his hands then this is a great book for you.

I like that this story shows more of the protective and kind side of the “mob” family.  Also, as much as I loved the dynamic between the main characters Isaiah and Cassidy, I was even more curious about what is going on with Isaiah’s twin Micah.

As much as I love Nicole Edwards’ longer books, I’m happy to have a spin-off of shorter stories to enjoy.

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is 24 and living at home while working. He just finished trade school for media arts and is looking for a job that will be a career so he can get out on his own. In the meantime he's got a steady job with benefits. Our youngest, Griffin, is 20 and in the Army. He just got married so I have also gained a daughter. Unfortunately, he is stationed in Washington so they're across the country from us. I was lucky enough to have the option of leaving the work force a few years ago, but recently went back part-time to learn a new trade working at a small family owned coffee shop.
