I have been waiting for Z’s story for so long!  In every story that he’s made an appearance, he is just the sweetest and sexiest guy.  I couldn’t wait to see how he would finally nab RT.  I was not disappointed.

One of the most heartwarming parts of this story is how concerned Bryce and Casper are that RT and Z find their HEA.  I love how the characters in Nicole Edwards’ books, no matter their age, are so open to all lifestyles.

The story of how and why Z came to get his playboy reputation is so touching.  It somehow made me love him more than I already did.  I’m just glad RT started to realize Z isn’t who his reputation says he is before he found out the truth.  He didn’t quite trust his gut on that one, but still I was glad the knowledge was there inside of him.  As much as I love RT, he’s a tougher nut to crack than Z.

What’s wonderful is that EVERYONE knows these two men should be together.  EVERYONE sees the sparks between them and have seen those sparks for years.  Yet somehow the ins and outs of how RT and Z get from point A to point B remain an intimate thing between just the two of them.

It was great seeing the Walker brothers, as it always is when we get the chance.  The author did a great job of giving us a bit more backstory on Z and letting us see our much loved cowboys without bogging the story down.  Especially for those that haven’t read the Alluring Indulgence series yet.  (If that’s you, please do yourself a favor and read those books ASAP!)

The bedroom scenes are steamy, sure; they’re also extremely tender.  The size of these guys and what they do for a living made that a surprise for me.  They had their all out desperate need moments, but for the most part their was way more than sex going on.  I am absolutely in love with the “perfect day” that happens in this book.  The conversations and connection Z and RT shared that day definitely gave me the warm-fuzzies.

As for the actual job Z and RT go on, it was a bit tame.  But it wasn’t meant to be anything explosive.  The job acted as the catalyst for them to finally admit their feelings and give into them; just as Bryce planned.  Well, maybe just as planned…but they got there eventually.

4.5 stars
