Books Read:  17
Books Acquired:  142

Most Read Genre:
Contemporary Romance = 16

No surprise, I mostly read contemporary romance in November.  The sub-genre of sports took up the biggest portion of the books with some erotica, suspense, and holiday books thrown in there.  I did squeak one YA/middle grade book into the mix though.

What a great month November was for reading.  I had four 5-star books last month! On top of that, only a few were even under 4 stars.

It doesn’t happen often, but one of the books I read was a hardcover.  There were also a couple of paperbacks along with all my Kindle reads.

Net Galley = 4
MCL = 6
Kindle Lending Library = 1
Local Library = 3
ARC from Author = 3

I read five new-to-me authors in November.  There was a blend of great stories and some that were okay, but  no stinkers in the bunch.  Beside my 5-star review of Wonder there were two 4-star new-to-me authors.  Dax by Shannyn Leah and Dream On by Stacey Keith.

After all this time and all the waiting lists I’ve been on throughout the year, I finally finished the Chicago Stars series by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.  So my oldest read in November was the second from last book, Natural Born Charmer, that was originally published in 2007.  I loved it, by the way.  It was one of my 5-star rated books.

I read the same number of books in November as I had in October, but my page number was quite a bit higher.  I read 5389 pages in November.  My shortest read was a short erotic story by Leona Gonzales called Melting Snow.  The longest was another of my 5-star reads, Intrigue Out of the Office by Nicole Edwards.

As I’ve mentioned, I had quite a few great books in November.  The overall average was 4.2 stars.  That’s pretty great.  I only hope I can have many more wonderful reading months.

A bit out of the norm, I acquired 3 of the books I read in November in the actual month of November.  They were all ARCs. One from Net Galley, Want You More by Nicole Helm, and the other two from Nicole Edwards.  I told you about the 5-star book of hers above…the other was also wonderful and I gave it 4 stars.  Office Intrigue was actually part one of a two-part duet, that’s why I got them both in the same month.

I know, crazy right?  I have a few books currently on pre-order on Amazon so I know that number will be different for December.

I got 100 books through the Book Bub email links in November.  My pick for the Kindle First book in November was The Silver Music Box by Lina Baites.  As I mentioned before, I got 3 books as ARCs directly from the authors.  Links in emails from various authors brought me another 13 books.  I got two through my Goodreads Deals email, one from the Just Add Spice Newsletter, 6 from Net Galley, 10 through Red Feather, and 7 from Shifted Sheets.
