And just like that, it’s Tuesday again. This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Upcoming Releases I’m On the Fence About, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. As always, you can click on over to her blog and find links to a ton of book bloggers from all different genres posting their picks. To be honest, I had a hard time with this one. So this week I’m doing a top 4 Tuesday!
I don’t follow any sort of specific blog or publication that keeps me up to date on exactly what is coming out when. I follow certain authors and pay attention to when I can pre-order their books or seek them out at the library. Obviously, those would be authors and books I’m looking forward to, so no straddling the fence.
Since this is only the second week I’m participating in Top Ten Tuesday, I didn’t want to skip the topic. So I did a quick search and found some lists of upcoming releases to scan. Here’s what I came up with…
I’ve heard great things about this author’s Girl, Wash Your Face but haven’t read it yet. I’m intrigued by self-help books, but often have a hard time reading them. I love the premise of this one, though. Eventually I’ll read one of her books, but which will it be?
I have no problem admitting I read this authors 50 Shades series, and enjoyed them. I found her writing to be a bit stunted, but I still read all three books. Yet the more I’ve read in the erotica genre, the more I see how many amazing authors are out there that really raise the bar. There is already a lot of buzz on this book, but it’s all because of the author not the story. I’m going to withhold my decision on this one for a while.
I have a weird relationship with Carolyn Brown. I won’t quite call it a love/hate, but it’s at the very least a love/meh. Just when I think I’m waffling on if I’ll continue with her books, she’ll release a star like Wicked Cowboy Charm and sucks me back into her orbit. I love the idea of this story, with the plus size heroine, so I’ll probably take the leap.
I can’t even tell you why this ended up on my list. I really adore this author, so I don’t know why I feel ambivalent about this story. I’m sure by the time it’s published at the end of next month I’ll be itching to get my hands on it. But for now, I’m not feeling it for some reason. Again…I really LOVE this author.
Now I throw it over to you, my faithful readers. Help me decide on these four books. Should I or shouldn’t I? And, will you be?
