TTT: Auto-Buy Authors

TTT-NEW

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  There is a new topic each week for bloggers to join in with their own top ten. If you’re looking for some new or different book blogs to read, hop on over to her site and check out some of the links.

For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday, the theme is auto-buy authors.  I don’t have 10 authors that I would consider auto-buy, mostly because I’d be broke if I bought every book released by all of my favorite authors.  There are four authors I buy almost all, if not all, of their new releases.  I’m too impatient to wait for my library to get a copy and have said copy be available.  So, I’ve realized that through the years I have ended up buying basically all of the books these author put out.

Usually, when I’m finishing a new release from one of these authors, I look to see when the next book is expected to be released.  If there’s already a pre-order going on I’ll do a pre-order.  I also follow these authors on Instagram, Twitter, and/or receive emailed newletters from them.  That way, if they don’t have a pre-order available when I’m finishing the latest and greatest, I know when the pre-order goes up later on down the road. There’s not much better than opening my Kindle in the morning and seeing a brand new story by a favorite author waiting for me.

Maisey Yates

Sawyer Bennett

Melissa Foster

Nicole Edwards

Now don’t get me wrong, there are other authors I will sometimes pre-order.  Depending on my current financial situation at the time and how anxious I am for the book.  But I have become the most consistent with the above authors.

Since I am quite confident I am not the only avid reader who has to keep a her book spending in check, I’m curious to see who others choose as their auto-buy authors.  I’m sure I’ll be finding a few new-to-me authors today as I peruse the lists of others.
