First Lines Friday – 1/17/20

first-lines-fridays

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?  If you want to make your own post, feel free to use or edit the banner above, and follow the rules below:

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

If someone would’ve told me I would one day be willingly waiting for Zeke Lautner’s sister to meet me at a kink club, I would’ve told them to lay off the sauce.

Any Guesses???

In case you can’t tell, this is a more risque title than I’ve featured in my First Lines Friday posts previously.

I like how this line instantly piques the reader’s interest.

I picked this one because I’m currently reading the book that comes after this one in a series by one of my favorite authors. Especially when it comes to erotic romance.

This is a hot one people.  If you like well written romance that’s in no way vanilla, you will love this whole series.

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is living at home while working and paying off student loans. Our youngest, Griffin recently left his active duty Army job and is now National Guard here at home. He moved back to Michigan with his wife Kirsten and our beautiful granddaughter Hazel. I work part time and try to fit as much reading into my life as possible.
