TTT: Summer 2020 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. There is a new topic each week for bloggers to join in with their own top ten. If you’re looking for some new or different book blogs to read, hop on over to her site and check out some of the links.

I don’t know the exact reason why, but I love these quarterly Top Ten Tuesday posts where we list our TBR list for the season. Maybe it’s the anticipation of getting to read amazing books? Reminding myself of what I have on deck? Well, I sure have a lot on deck this summer. I decided to list everything I have on my schedule this time, not just new releases. I’m dividing the list up into categories: upcoming releases I either have on pre-order or already have an ARC waiting for me, upcoming releases I hope to get from the library (I can  only spend so much money on books, unfortunately), previously released titles I own and need to find time to read, library books waiting to be read, then a couple that are being released this summer that I already read but want to give a shout out. Here ya go, my reading list from June 20, 2020 to September 22, 2020.

Upcoming Releases

Mission: Without a Trace (Brantley Walker: Off the Books #2) by Nicole Edwards

The Bad Boy of Redemption Ranch (Gold Valley #9) by Maisey Yates

Issued (Navy SEALs of Little Creek #1) by Paris Wynters

Just Like That (Albin Academy #1) by Cole McCade

A Spark of Romance by Jamie K. Schmidt

She’s Faking It by Kristin Rockaway

Releasing this Summer that I’ve Read

Seriously you guys, I already read these but they were great. They’d definitely be on my TBR if I hadn’t received ARCs. You should check them out.

More Than Neighbors (Blackberry Bay #1) by Shannon Stacey (7/1)

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn (7/21)

Previously Released that I Own and Need to Read

Bride by Mistake (Montana Born Brides #3) by Nicole Helm
I’ve read the first two books just to get to this book and book 4, written by authors I greatly enjoy…yet it’s been months and I still haven’t gotten to this one. Ugh!

Love on Beach Avenue (The Sunshine Sisters #1) by Jennifer Probst
I got his as an Amazon First Reads back in April and really, really want to read it so keep adding it to my schedule. One of these days it’ll happen.

A Little Bit Wicked (The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside #1) by Melissa Foster
This one actually doesn’t come out until tomorrow, which is not summer yet. I have it on pre-order, but I’m sure I won’t get to it until it’s officially summer.

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood #1) by J.R. Ward
I’ve seen this book recommended numerous times in numerous places. When I saw it go on sale for $.99 earlier this month, I couldn’t pass it up. (Side note: how the heck do you make the cent symbol???)

Library Books

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas
I’ll be honest and say I most likely will have to renew this one, which means going back to the bottom of the waiting list. It’s very long (over 800 pages!) and due back Sunday and I still haven’t even started reading it yet. In fact, I’ll be lucky if I have time to start it by Friday. Now, if I could only get some solid uninterrupted reading time…

Wicked Burn (Realm Enforcers #3) by Rebecca Zanetti

The Darkest Torment (Lords of the Underworld #12) by Gena Showalter

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds

That’s 28 books. And, if you didn’t notice, most are from late June and July. Which means there are many more that I’ll find out about as the summer progresses. Plus, whatever books I find on other blogs during this TTT. I know I say this all the time, but…so many books, so little time!

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is living at home while working and paying off student loans. Our youngest, Griffin recently left his active duty Army job and is now National Guard here at home. He moved back to Michigan with his wife Kirsten and our beautiful granddaughter Hazel. I work part time and try to fit as much reading into my life as possible.

  1. I need to read House of Earth and Blood at some point, but it’s quite the time commitment!

I have High Heat and Just Like That as e-ARCs that I need to read this summer too. I also want to read Long Way Down.

  4. I don’t read much romance, so I’m not familiar with most of these. I hope you love them all!

    Happy TTT!
