Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. There is a new topic each week for bloggers to join in with their own top ten. If you’re looking for some new or different book blogs to read, hop on over to her site and check out some of the links.
I am, quite frankly, tired and blah feeling right now, so my Top Ten Tuesday will be super quick this week. Just pictures. Books That Make Me Smile is a great topic (thanks to Julia at Pages for Thoughts for submitting this suggestion), but my brain is just not working.
To follow are some books that popped in my head while I was contemplating this one. Some are books I read as a child and give me wonderful memories, some are books I remember having a lot of laugh out loud moments, all of them made me smile when they crossed my mind.
I’m looking forward to seeing what books make all of you smile. I’m sure it will help get me out of my funk to see a bunch of other smile-inducing books cover your pages.
I’ve read from Kylie Scott before, but I haven’t tried Dirty. Now I’m gonna look it up 😀
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Happy reading!
It’s the 1st in her Dive Bar series, which is a spin-off of her Stage Dive series. All of them have tons of humor along with the romance and angst. I read Dirty first without a problem, but for a fuller experience I’d suggest reading her Stage Dive series first.
BTW, the link to your TTT post isn’t working. I’d love to view your post though.
I had James and the Giant Peach on my list as an added extra this week!
Love Where the Sidewalk Ends and Light in the Attic!
I love his poems. I had a teacher in 2nd grade that used to read from his books to us all the time and I still have many of the poems memorized.
Sleep Over looks so fun!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
It is! Actually, all of that author’s books make me laugh.
Aw, Beezus and Ramona….lovely books, those and the Henry & Ribsy ones.
These Happy Golden Years is such a beautiful pick! I loved that book growing up.
Thanks for stopping my post by earlier.
I love Ramona and Beezus! They were sweet role models growing up. Well, not so much Ramona.
I remember being so happy to read about Ramona and realize I wasn’t bad or a freak. That it was okay I didn’t want to play with dolls and wear dresses and sit quietly all the time. I aspired to be Beezus, but Ramona spoke to my soul and told me I could be myself and my family would still love me.
Oh yes, that’s exactly it.
I see some childhood favorites in this post! I loved James and the Giant Peach, A Light in the Attic, and Ramona.
Great list!
