Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. There is a new topic each week for bloggers to join in with their own top ten. If you’re looking for some new or different book blogs to read, hop on over to her site and check out some of the links.
It seems like my new norm when it comes to Top Ten Tuesdays is going to be using the random number generator. My brain just hasn’t been synching with the current topics. With such an extensive history of topics with this feature, there are plenty of past topics to choose from. (Number one on the list over at The Broke and Bookish, where this feature started, is from June 2010!) This week’s topic is Animals From Books. Of course I can think of many animals from books, I just couldn’t organize my thoughts to come up with an angle to take on this one…yet again. So the random number generator to the rescue!
This time it came up with #194 from June 2014, Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far This Year. I’m going to change things up even more by listing less than 10, instead I’m going to list the six books that I have given 5 stars to this year so far. Now, I’m sure this is going to bite me in the butt when there’s bound to be a similar topic sometime soon. But that’s okay. Who doesn’t like spreading the word when it comes to wonderful stories?
These are in the order I read them and the titles link to my original review of the book.
Deep Blue (book #0.5 in the Survival Instincts series)
by Adriana Anders (part of the Turn the Tide compilation)
Best Laid Plans (book #2 in the Garnet Run series)
by Roan Parrish
One Night with a Cowboy (book #2 in the Silverado Lake series)
by Sara Richardson
Cup of Joe (book #1 in the Bold Brew series)
by Annabeth Albert
Hero’s Haven (book #11 in the Dark Protectors series)
by Rebecca Zanetti
The Remaking of Corbin Wale
by Roan Parrish
You may notice I didn’t link the last book. That’s because I haven’t posted my review yet. I’ll link it once my review is posted. Believe me when I tell you it’s a magical story. You may also notice that there are two Roan Parrish books on this list. She’s newer to me, this is only the third book I’ve read by her. I’m loving her so far, though. I can’t wait to read more.
Very cool!

I haven’t read any of these. I’m going to have to look into them. I’ve only read one Annabeth Albert book and it was only okay for me. I’m wondering if I need to give her another try with this one.
I’ve read a handful of her book so far and have really enjoyed them. That could be a difference in our tastes, or you happened to find one of her clunkers.
I, for one, am always interested in hearing about 5-star books! I haven’t heard of any of these, but I’m glad you enjoyed them.
Happy TTT!

These are all romance, so you’d have to like the genre to really get the 5-star experience. If you like the genre, these authors are all wonderful.
Nice list! I’m glad you enjoyed all of these. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!
