TTT: Books With My Favorite Trope

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. There is a new topic each week for bloggers to join in with their own top ten. If you’re looking for some new or different book blogs to read, hop on over to her site and check out some of the links.

This week’s topic, Books With My Favorite Trope, was submitted by Elley from Elley the Book Otter. I have to say, I hadn’t been to her blog until I was writing up this post and it is super cute. I love the overall feel of her site and will definitely be stopping by again.

For this week, I’m going with the romance trope of fake relationship. Be it fake fiance, fake marriage, fake significant other of any kind, and I’m on board. I absolutely love, love, love this trope. Here are 10 books I particularly enjoyed with that trope. Clicking on the title will bring you to my review of the book. These are in no particular order.

Sailor Proof (Shore Leave #1) by Annabeth Albert

All Jacked Up (Rough Riders #8) by Lorelei James

Fake (West Hollywood #1) by Kylie Scott

A True Cowboy Christmas (Cold River Ranch #1) by Caitlin Crews

Swipe Right for a Cowboy (Riverrun Ranch #1) by Karen Foley

A Cowboy for Christmas (Rocky Mountain Riders #6) by Sara Richardson

Cowboy SEAL Redemption (Navy SEAL Cowboys #2) by Nicole Helm

One Summer Weekend (Cedar Street #1) by Shannon Stacey

Bishop (Arizona Vengeance #1) by Sawyer Bennett

All You Need (Need You #3) by Lorelei James

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is living at home while working and paying off student loans. Our youngest, Griffin recently left his active duty Army job and is now National Guard here at home. He moved back to Michigan with his wife Kirsten and our beautiful granddaughter Hazel. I work part time and try to fit as much reading into my life as possible.

  1. I love this trope! The only one I have read is All You Need and I gave it 5 stars. I will have to try some of the others.

I love this trope! I also love a cowboy, so a lot of these are headed to my TBR!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

I don’t know why, but this is actually one of my least favorite tropes. I guess I just find it unconvincing? A lot of people love it, though, and I get that. It definitely provides comedy and tension in books and movies.

    Happy TTT!

I get it. I’m like that with the secret baby trope. I just don’t get it and don’t normally want to read it, but I know there are tons of people who love those stories.
