Everything’s naughtier after dark…
No last names. No strings. No ties.
Except of the silk variety.

Dr. Heath Wild and Allyson Jenner only wanted a simple tryst. But Heath couldn’t live with just one night, just one taste, of Ally–and Ally couldn’t escape the memory of his hands on her skin, the way he looked at her like she was his obsession, or his seduction, which had pushed her to the edge and had made her want to do things she never had before.

One night leads to one tantalizing phone call. Can one phone call lead to forever?

I found this story to be sweet from beginning to end while also being sexy and fun. Heath and Ally have a one-night stand, that turns into a two-night stand, that turns into an HEA.

Ally is a great character. She is sex-positive and has no shame in enjoying her sex life. She isn’t interested in settling down and doesn’t sleep around, per se, but she has no qualms about scratching that itch when she needs to. Generally, it’s a quick hook-up with no entanglements. Heath is the same way. He’s a busy man and has no interest in love. While I fully expected a lot of back and forth since they are both averse to relationships, they both couldn’t resist the pull the other had on them and didn’t bother denying that what they had was different and worth exploring.

The way Ally is so aware of Heath’s mom and her feelings when they first meet is beautiful and I can’t blame him for falling head over heels for her. Heath doesn’t take Ally’s kind heart for granted and shows her, over and over, his appreciation for her being in his life.

If you’re looking for a low-angst, sexy, romance this is the perfect quick read for you. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but don’t feel you need to read that one to fully enjoy this book.

4 stars

**Note: If you’re curious as to where the Wild Boys After Dark series falls in the overall Love in Bloom series, it’s tucked in after Seized by Love (The Ryders #1) and before Surrender My Love (The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor #2).

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is living at home while working and paying off student loans. Our youngest, Griffin recently left his active duty Army job and is now National Guard here at home. He moved back to Michigan with his wife Kirsten and our beautiful granddaughter Hazel.
