My inspiration for my Spell the Month in Books posts came from Reviews from the Stacks, where they host a monthly linkup on the second Saturday of every month. Although I don’t follow their timeline of posting or really join any linkup, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I saw several different bloggers participating and that led me to their posts.
I started these monthly posts a year ago and am finding that the way I’ve gone about picking my books, using books I’ve read and rated highly, means I’m running low on books with certain beginning letters. I was still able to pull it off this month, with three E’s, though.
Now that we’re heading into the holiday season, things have been busy. I’m sure it’s the same for most everyone this time of year. Yet it’s still one of my favorite times of year. I absolutely love Christmas lights. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather since Thanksgiving weekend so haven’t had adequate opportunity to go out and enjoy the lights any further than my street. Good thing I have at least a few more weeks to take in the decorations. Plus, we were lucky enough to squeeze in a day in Frankenmuth (Michigan’s Little Bavaria aka the city of eternal Christmas) with our youngest and his family earlier in November.
Once again, no real theme this month. Although, once I realized I already had a lot of blue and white I kind of stuck to those colors for the books I chose. I also made sure to have a couple of holiday themed books in there. You can click on the titles to be taken to my review of each book, some were from my pre-blog days so are on Goodreads only.

Hazel wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken until she got fruit snacks, as you can see below. Can you guess which picture doesn’t include the fruit snacks?

No matter which holidays you celebrate, or if you celebrate nothing at all, I hope you have a wonderful December.
