Spell the Month in Books – April 2023

My inspiration for my Spell the Month in Books posts came from Reviews from the Stacks, where they host a monthly linkup on the second Saturday of every month. Although I don’t follow their timeline of posting or really join any linkup, I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I saw several different bloggers participating and that led me to their posts.

It’s already the last day of March. I cannot believe how fast time goes by sometimes. If all is going as planned, I’ll be having surgery today as I mentioned in yesterday’s post. While the year itself seems to be flying by, this month has seemed to drag while I’ve waited for my surgery date to arrive and trying to get any loose ends tied up.

As I mentioned last month, we are remodeling our kitchen. Unfortunately, not only is the going slow with that but our washing machine decided it also needed to be replaced on top of everything else. Luckily our youngest only lives a few miles away and I was able to do some laundry at their house rather than having to do the laundromat thing while waiting on our new washer. But we did manage to paint the walls in the kitchen even if we still don’t have a floor or molding yet. It’ll happen soon, I hope.

I’ve gotta say, with how distracted I’ve been lately, I’m glad last month and the next few are all short months. Makes it easier to come up with books for these posts. I like keeping the titles I use to those I’ve read and rated highly. If you click on the title it will take you to my review of that book.

About Cheri

I'm the mom of two boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. Our oldest, Josh, is living at home while working and paying off student loans. Our youngest, Griffin recently left his active duty Army job and is now National Guard here at home. He moved back to Michigan with his wife Kirsten and our beautiful granddaughter Hazel. I work part time and try to fit as much reading into my life as possible.
