We haven’t had much chance to get out in nature this autumn. That doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying the beautiful fall colors here in Michigan, it just means my pictures have cars, electric lines, garbage cans, and street lights in them. As much as I love all the seasons, I often pick fall as my very favorite. The colors here in Michigan are just amazing. Of course, that’s why I’m choosing to share some beautiful trees for this week’s Friday Favorites.
Of course, I am not a professional photographer. My pictures are taken on my cell phone and are often blurry and in no way show the real beauty of these trees.
I love seeing this tree out the window over my kitchen sink. It doesn’t make doing dishes enjoyable, but it at least gives me something pretty to look at. This tree always signals the seasons to me. It’s usually when I’m looking out this window that I’ll first notice oranges, yellows, and reds in the fall and green in the spring.
I mean, c’mon!
One of the million of times I wish I knew how to take pictures. This is the same tree, one is just taken past the street light. This tree (which is actually the same tree I can see out my kitchen window from the other side!) looked like it was on fire with the morning sun shining on its leaves. I was in awe and drove around the block to come back from the same angle to try to catch the beauty. While the tree looks pretty here, it by no means looks like it did in real life.

It was so gloomy and about to storm when I left work yesterday. This tree didn’t care about the grey skies, it proudly displayed it’s reddish orange leaves to bring a smile to my face. I had to share it on SnapChat.
The nearly 10 years we lived in Southern California, this is what I missed the most. Even more than the green landscape that Michigan provides all spring and summer, I missed these colors. The vibrancy I now get to see every time I just look out the window this time of year.
I’ll leave you with this gorgeous bush that lives across the street from me. Every day I sit in my comfy chair in front of said window to read and drink my tea or coffee, and I get to see this beauty every time I look up.

Mu favorite season too. ❤
